I am also a hobby linguist (that's academic-speak for "I know absolutely nothing, but can easily be excited"). I believe languages, much like humans, have life, their own personalities, and their own unique quirks. I enjoy reading about languages, especially Indo-European languages, and can be easily excited by etymological fun facts! I'm also really fascinated by Linguistic reconstruction (again, I am not an expert - I just enjoy reading).
